The initial core group who mooted the idea of the Manipal Alumni Association consisted of Dr.V.Surendranathan, Dr. R. L. Anandan, Dr. Rasihd, Dr. Jeyaratnam, Dr. Pathmarajah, and Dr.S.S. Thevan.
